Building Use

Our Beautiful Church:

You might like to plan your wedding, in our church.  We would welcome you and your guests!

Our church was built in 1893. It is located in the center of St. Albans, across the street from spacious and lovely, Taylor Park. You would enter through the front door, or porte-cochere on the left side.

From the front door on the right, or the porte- cochere, behind the camera, you would be in our Narthex. You would prepare to enter the church through the doors on the left.

You would then come down the aisle, to a grand march, played by our Organist, Stephan Conrady, trained and educated in Germany.

You might include, in your wedding service, some music played on our wonderful Samick Grand Piano. Stephan is highly skilled with piano.

Stephan’s bio is included on this site under “Church Staff.”

You might wish to include some vocal solos.  Erin Grainger, is a Masters Graduate of McGill University with Degrees in Vocal Performance.  Her bio is on the site, under “Church Staff.”

Our church seats 380 people, including seating in our rear, upper balcony.

This is looking from our rear balcony, down to the Sanctuary floor, and views our choir loft and organ.

Our 1893, Hook & Hastings, Tracker Organ is acclaimed to be the finest in New England of its kind, by Andover Organ Company of Newton, Massachusetts and by the American Guild of Organists.

We would be most happy to share our beautiful and historic building space with you.  We request some help with expenses of lighting and heat.  You would be expected to provide your own set up and clean up, and maintain building security for the members of your group.  The building and grounds are smoke and alcohol free, please.

You may download one of these forms to complete and either mail, or bring to the church office.  The Trustees will be back in touch with you regarding a fee for your event.  You can then sign the agreement, and return it to us – you will receive a copy of the signed agreement.  Your event will then be placed on the official church calendar, and the space you request will be held for you.

You are welcome to stop by during office hours and view our building and grounds with either our Minister or the Church Secretary.

Request use of our building by contacting the church office (802-524-4555) and speaking with Sue Powers, the administrative assistant who will be happy to help you with your event.

THANK YOU for considering our building and grounds for your event!  We look forward to seeing you and helping to plan!
